Some links and product blocks are commercial. If you buy or sign up through one of them, this publication may earn a commission from that company. You do not pay extra because of that.
How to recognize them
An affiliate link includes the visible word "Affiliate" and uses rel="sponsored nofollow". Product summaries, comparisons, pricing, pros and cons, and calls to action that involve a commercial relationship sit in a separate panel with the same label. An article that contains those components also shows a short notice near the top.
What a commission does not do
A larger commission is not a reason to rank a product higher, to leave out a limitation, or to skip a cheaper alternative. Articles that evaluate a product say whether the evaluation is research or hands-on testing. The editorial policy covers that distinction.
